THE THRUST BEHIND MAN'S HISTORIC FOOTSTEP

What made man land on the sea of tranquility?
Was it just the scientific approach to study about the presence of water or life-supporting elements? Was it to seek the possible life of human beings outside the terrirtory of earth?
No may be the answer.
"Competition" was the thrust behind man's historic landing on the moon.
After the second world war there was a cold war between America and the
eastwhile USSR. The world in fact was divided into two-one countries backing up America and others backing up Soviet Union.
It was soviet union to start clinching history by leaping upward into the space.
Their victorious explorations imprinted the names of first man on space, first woman on space, first animal on space etc. in the history.
This was a big blow for America.
It was necessary for them to come up with something that would astonish the world.
In the later periods a large budget was set apart for this attempt.
It was John.F.Kennedy who gave the inspiration for the scientists in America.
This spirit of competition , after 10 trials of imperfections(from Apollo 1 to 10) resulted in that historic footstep.
"The spirit of competition wins impossibities."

ENGINEERING vs MEDICINE "IS UNEMPLOYMENT A PROBLEM IN ENGINEERING"?

I would like to make a slight change in my opinion on the
hot cake in debate "engineering vs medicine" about which I had published
another post which I repeat below.

The crisis in the world economy is showing a negative trend in the
private sector. The USA president had given the signs of reducing
outsoursing. The companies have decided to reduce the new posts, that means campus recruitment programme is highly abridged. Most of the students who had qualified even the last interview are not invited for the job. "Unemployment after B.Tech " is a real fact under the current
circumstance. If the economy recovers soon the companies may
recruit larger number of students. The downturn in the economy
is well reflected in the landslide collapse of SATHYAM co. which was
once the best IT sector in India.
We all hope that the current situation will change soon.

If you are interested to make money as fast as possible, you just opt engineering because good job will be under your custody within 4 years after +2. A doctor requires 5 years M.B.B.S course to get into the stream and at least 4 years specialization to get a good reputed occupation. If you are to gain a good status in the society, and you have surplus money to spend out you can choose medicine. In engineering you need to UNDERSTAND things. In medicine you just need to mug up things.Engineering requires good grasping power, I.Q, and thinking power.Medicine wants extreme momory power and learning skills. The foundation of Engineering is Mathematics. If you are 80+ in maths you can do good in engineering.Medicine needs profound knowledge on every little aspect of your study.for example, in engineering if you learn about Fourier series, you just learn the general formula. If you are brilliant in maths you can do any problem regarding that context. In medicine if you learn about vertebral column of human being, you should know the name of every vertebrates, the diseases that may affect it, the remedies etc.Without vast knowledge you can not perform well.

funny thing to note:
A doctor gets admitted through the security department of any airport in Europe if he/she produces the certificates. But an engineer need to undergo all sorts of troubles, even nude check up no matter what the gender defines.

THANKING Mr.Ronny who added some more to this topic

The Medicine has now become an ever lasting Study course...thanks to Mr
ramdoss, the previous Health Minister, who has made the 2 years Rural services
before PG entrance...therefore the present course stretchesas follws:
1) MBBS 5 years course+1 year Internship+1 years Rural service = 7 years
when you become MBBS (GRADUAte only, NO GOOD)

2) 1 year u waste for PG entrance

3) 3 years in PG course + 1 year optional for 4th year( u become MS or MD,
little good, after 12 years from mbbs entrance)

4) 2years for Superspeciality entrance(lucky there if you get what u want
at FIRST SHOT, omit this then)

5) 3 years for Superspeciality( this is if you are CHUMS with your teacher,
who passes you at first SHOT, else add a year here),the prospects start to
improve from here, but still you are a NOVOICEsurgeron, i won't sleep on your
table, i may try maybe after 5 years thereafter.....
IF YOU DARE COUNT THE NUMBER OF YEARS YOU SPENT TO BECOME A GOOD?
DOCTOR....BY THIS TIME YOUR ENGINEER FRIEND IS A MIDDLE/SENIOR LEVEL
MANAGER

ADD YOUR OPINIONS ...

THAT MAY HELP THE NEW COURSE SEEKERS.

IN MEMORY OF BRIAN OXMAN MICHAEL JACKSON

"I can't stop crying over the sad news. I've always admired Michael Jackson — the world has lost one of its greats, but his music will live on forever."

SWINE FLU DISASTER

Every year viruses(biological) come out to compete with the
medical technology.
The Swine Flu is the latest disease prevailing around the world.
Scientifically the H1N1 virus is the microorganism that causes this disease.
The disease was first reported in Mexico. Now a days there is not need to find out the vector that speads the disease. The increased rate of migration can be the reason for this spreading.
Just like the Chikun gunya fever it shows the symptoms only after a week's time and if not treated soon will result in Pneumonia.
Worst cases may lead to death too.
High comsuption of non-vegetarian food has increased the
export and import of eatable fleshy animals like pig, chicken,
cattles etc. Unsafe methods of preserving flesh can be the source of disease causing micro-organisms.
Why are people so particular in having flesh?
In the present situation scientists seldom encourage
non-vegetarian meals.
Vegetables are not harmful to the body nor the cradle of
cholestrol.
How to keep away from Swine Flu?
There are no particular precautions that
can be taken now.
* Have vegetarian food at least until the rain dries up.
* Wash your body thoroughly after reaching home.
* If you are so particular in having non-veg..ensure
that the item is fresh and devoid of diseases.

THE ELECTION HURRICANE

The lok sabha elections are round the corner.
The democratic mechines have become idle due to the election
mania. The political leaders and the ruiling ministers have started the election campaigns.
The Bharatiy Janatha party are engaged in the election canvasing with a tremendous hope to annex the lost land in the last lok sabha elections. The UPA government will be subjected to certain frustrations because the can anticipate the face-off of the left parties.

The third group as stated by a senior politician may be an utopian theme but one thing is sure..no independent party is going to win the
required margin of majority alone.
The UPA government has brought forth their election propaganda declaring that Manmohan Singh will be the
prime minister candidate for them.
Their propaganda has the following proclamations:
1. Reservation for women in occupations
2.Food preservation act to be passed
3. Protection, POliteness and Progress for all citizens
4. Uproot terrorism
5. Assure 33% reservation for women
6.Economic reservations without affecting backward castes
7.Free education to tribal children upto university level.

The UPA government has been ruling India for the last
5 years. The common minimun programme published by them
at the onset of their period in office had these same contents.
If they could not implement these declarations within the span of 5 years how can we trust them hoping that they would convert all these paper works into reality?
This is just a politics trick.
Canvasing the common man with dreams, is the policy adopted here.
His dreams will never come true unless the corrupted beaurocracy and greedy politicians are white washed.
Dr. Manmohan Singh is a not a good leader but a good economist.
Every intelligent person in the country can definitely understand that he is just a puppet in the hands of
America. This election is not only exciting the country but also the whole world.
The floating global economy has so far not shaken the Indian markets. A wrong choice is this
election will affect Indian markets adversely.
Let us hope for changes in India too.
